Stratmoor Hills Elementary's mission is to maximize learning for all students, enabling them to learn at a level that is consistent with their talents and abilities, empowering them to successfully meet their changing needs and future challenges.

Our Purpose

Stratmoor Hills Elementary is located in the heart of the Stratmoor Hills Community. It is a place where children feel valued and secure, and as a result, form positive emotional bonds with the staff and school. The school is home to a diverse, multicultural student body.

Stratmoor Hills is qualified to serve a wide range of needs in their students, from the high-risk to the gifted child.  A major strength of the school lies in its offering of a full range of services provided by a dedicated professional and classified staff who are invested in the advancement and learning of their students.

Throughout the school year, Stratmoor Hills utilizes the school action plan as a means to focus efforts toward improving student achievement.  While there is still work to be done on raising student achievement, Stratmoor Hills students have made great gains in academic growth according to the Longitudinal Student Growth Model measurement used by the Colorado Department of Education.

Our Educators

The Stratmoor Hills staff is a committed group of educators who continually study the best instructional practices and go above and beyond to meet students' needs. Classroom teachers and administrators meet on a monthly basis to align curriculum, review student achievement data, make improvements and give feedback on the progress of various educational programs. Stratmoor Hills values high quality teachers and offers many opportunities for professional development to all staff members.

The literacy program enables teachers to combine many skills with effective research-based instructional strategies to maximize learning for all students. Small group direct instruction allows students to receive an education centered upon hands-on cooperative learning.
